An Album To Be Named Later

It's hard to believe we're already halfway through April and I have a feeling that we're definitely on the back end of any more epic rain! (It better be because I'm having my house painted this week!)

So what's going on these days? Well, for the past 30 plus years my long time friend and band mate Joe Barbieri and I have been talking about making a record (for those born after 1987, they call them a CD). So during the past 4 years, we've done it and it's finished. So ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to announce the long awaited record (CD) by Joe Barbieri titled "An Album To Be Named Later."

The album contains 13 original songs written between 1980 and 2009 (including my 2 writing efforts with Joe: "With You" and "One Step Away"). The CD was produced and engineered by Joe and Seth Connelly. The album features guest performances from GRAMMY(R) award winning guitarist Ed Gerhard and Andrea Zonn (with the James Taylor band).

In other news, congratulations to the cast and crew of "Calamity Jane" for their hard work and excellent performances. As always, it was a joy to work with them and I look forward to the 75th performance of the Theater Guild next year!

We had a great gig with Shakey Jake and the Blue Vibrations at the Next Page Cafe in Weymouth on Thursday April 15. There some great players and singers in the house. Nice to meet you all and I'm sure we'll cross paths again!

Come by and fill your belly with food and drink and your heart and soul with some of the best blues this area has to offer. The jam starts at 9pm and if you're a musician, please bring an instrument to play!
